Don’t be afraid to live

“Just the fact that we don’t know our due date on death, should be enough motivation to live every day to the highest potential.”-unknown

I’ve been told many times by many doctors, “we don’t know where to go from here, we can try this new trail medication, we can try this new form of chemotherapy, we can TRY to keep you alive for as long as we can.” You would think after eleven years of the “WE CAN TRY” I would say, well then, I GIVE UP.
HA! Eleven years later and I am still here fighting every day, trying whatever new and inventive ways to stay heathy and keep me around for as long as the good lord doesn’t want me causing trouble on the big, white puffy clouds. I know I may make light of this subject but I have learned to take doctors words of essentially signing my death certificate with a grain of salt. I am not willing to give up and not willing to let cancer run my life. I was told from the very beginning of this journey that 99.9% of this battle is won mentally. Every day I thank the good lord I am here to see another day, to see my beautiful daughter grow and become and amazing human being, another day to hold my husband’s hand, another day to live life to its fullest.

The words, “give up” are not in my vocabulary. I have been through many stumbling blocks. Not just with cancer but in life in general. I’ve learned to deal with disappointment, learned to overcome negativity and hurt. I am not afraid to live. This journey has opened my eyes to living. You see, you can be sick and living or you can be healthy and already dead. I’ve watched many people who are the healthiest of people who never live a day in their lives. Always complaining about this or that. Complaining about life and never experiencing anything, always in fear of the unknown. Let me shed some light for you, LIFE is all unknown. Life is the journey, life is the miracle, and life is meant to be lived. Don’t waste a millisecond on second guessing the choices you have made or the roads you have traveled. It has all led you to believe in something bigger and the miracle of your life. The universe wants you to love, and to be loved. The universe wants you to live and experience. Why do we waste time on the unkown? Why do we second guess our choices? Why do we worry about the future? Wasting time on the things you can’t control is like drinking poison expecting the other person to die.

Live my friends, enjoy the moments. Moments you never get back and can’t create again. Think bigger, think better, think Fabulous thoughts. I promise you, you will never regret enjoying the moments that create beautiful memories.

“Live your life. Take chances. Be crazy. Don’t wait. Right now you are the oldest you have ever been and the youngest you’ll ever be again.”-unknown

All my love my Fabulous Fighters- xoxo Fab
