Use this quick and easy solution to wash bacteria, wax and pesticides off of your fruits and veggies. Even those that you will peel or that have rinds (like melons) should be washed to keep any surface bacteria from contaminating the flesh when you cut or peel them.
The Wash: 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water
The process: combine the vinegar and water and place into a spray bottle or into a bowl/basin. Spray or soak your fruits and veggies well and then rinse with warm water before peeling and cutting.
