What’s your oil type?

Carrier oils

In any DIY facial product you will find the need for a carrier oil.  These oils help to disperse the active ingredients and offer their own health benefits.  Below is a list of the most common carrier oils and details as to which skin type each oil compliments.  In order to find the best oil for your skin, try doing a patch test.  Apply a small amount of the oil along your jaw line for a few days and see how your skin reacts.

Argon Oil and Jojoba Oil: great for dry, aging, oily to normal or acne prone skin.

Apricot Kernel Oil: great for any skin type, but especially for normal, dry or aging skin.

Sweet Almond Oil: great for any skin type, but takes a little longer to absorb into the skin.

Avocado Oil: great for dry and aging skin.

Hemp Seed Oil: great for any skin type, a very light oil.
