Ashwagandha, also known as winter cherry, has been used as one of the most prized Ayurvedic herbs for over 3000 years. It hails from India and is also known as Indian ginger. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen herb. Adaptogens help the body to cope with stress and to come back to homeostasis, or a state of normal. Here are just some of the proven health benefits of Ashwagandha:
