To my Mom, my friend- My wish for you:
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough and more to fill your days with all that you desire. You continue to inspire me by the strength you possess, by the values you instilled, and the abundance of love you give so freely. I am truly blessed to be your daughter.
To my Daughter, Mackenzie-my light and my love:
Being a parent doesn’t come with instructions. I am not perfect and I will make mistakes. I won’t always practice what I preach, but I will still try and stop you from making those same mistakes. Not because I am a hypocrite, but because I want what is best for you. I won’t promise to always make the right choice, but I promise the choices will always be made with love. I may never be the perfect mom but I will always try my best. You are my daughter, my life, my dreams for tomorrow. I promise to love you more each day. I promise to stand by you through the good, the bad, and the ugly. I promise to be your sounding board, your place of solace, and the shoulder to lean on. You are a gift from God, the light in my day, and the stars at night. Thank you for making me a mom.
To all the Fabulous Mothers out there:
This world has many heroes, I call them moms. Even in times of stress, when you are fighting your own demons, when you are beyond exhausted both mentally and physically nothing stops you from finding your strength for your children. A mother’s love is something no one can explain. It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain. It is endless and unselfish. Today remind yourself of the hard work; recognizing what you continue to do everyday for your children. You are their world, you are their home and their comfort. You are everything to them. My hope for you all, even on your worst day, is that you know how special you are. To the world you are a mother, to your family you are the world.
Happy Mother’s Day my Fabulous Fighters!
