Mindful Monday – The thoughts from within

Inner critic

As language users and lovers of language, we can be seduced by words, especially our own inner monologues. To let go of these inner thoughts, we must take a step back and watch them, without judgement. Today take a few minutes today to acknowledge your thoughts. Take note of the cruel and jealous thoughts, and the kind ones as well.  You have complete control over your thoughts.  You can calmly replace negative thoughts with positive ones without judgement or critique of yourself.  Try using this affirmation daily to help dissolve all worry, confusion and doubt:

I look within, beyond my personality, to the pure light being that illuminates the world. I allow the inner light to dissolve all confusion, all worry, and all doubt.
