This month we are celebrating! It is National Inspiratinal Role Model Month!
I have been so blessed to be surrounded by fabulous and inspirational women; so each week I want to highlight these women.
Today I have chosen a women who epitomizes inspiration. Our realtionship started two years ago after being crowned Miss Pink 2017. Kate and I sat across from eachother at a swanky hotel in Boston supporting the Breast Cancer efforts for another organization. This was our first time getting to know eachother since being crowned Miss Pink. It was an instant connection. Her genuine personality came shining through immediately. Kate’s warm demeanor was a breath of fresh air, and her spunky wit draws you in. We chatted all night, never once a lull in conversation. She makes you feel like family. As so our friendship blossomed and now can’t imagine my life without her. She has been a sounding board, a shouder to cry on, and an inspiration to not only myself but to so many others. Kate fights her own battles but yet puts others first. She will make you laugh a bit louder, smile a little bigger, and make you feel a bit better about yourself. I consider myself lucky to have her as a friend, a roll model, and an inspiration.
I asked her to send me her bio- She had no idea what i was using it for. I was going to just share a snip it of it, but chose to share the whole thing. SO you can see for yourself just how amazing she really is. Please give a Fabulous Fighting welcome to our 1st inspirational roll model of the month to Kate Arnold!
Vice President of the Miss Pink Organization
My job is to ensure that the the Organization is growing in the ways it needs to be, while maintaining its integrity and mission. As a small nonprofit, there are many day to day tasks (including event planning, marketing, and outreach) that I end up doing, but the variety means I’m never bored!
Back in 2009, Ashley and I were colleagues and becoming close friends, and she mentioned that she wanted to plan an event to raise money and celebrate breast cancer survivors. That was our first Miss Pink Pageant! From there, we developed into an organization that supports the community and empowers women, and I’ve been privileged to be a part of that movement since its inception.
