Eggnog (vegan, gluten free)

All the flavors of the original without the eggs or cows milk.  Hot or cold this classic with a twist is sure to please.

  • 1 cup Cashews
  • 4 cups Non dairy milk (almond, cashew or coconut)
  • 2 tbsp Coconut sugar
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom
  • 8 ea Dates
  • 6 tbsp Gluten Free Bourbon (Makers Mark) or Rum Optional
  • Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish


  1. In a medium bowl combine the cashews and the non dairy milk and allow to soak for one hour.

  2. In a small saucepan combine the coconut sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and cardamom and bring to a boil.  Stir until the sugar dissolves and remove from the heat and set aside.

  3. In a blender combine the spiced simple syrup, dates, cashews, almond milk and bourbon/rum (optional).  Blend until smooth.

  4. Portion into individual glasses and top with freshly grated nutmeg.  Can be served hot or cold.
