Mulled Wine (vegan, gluten free)

Nothing says home like the holidays like a mug of hot, spiced, mulled cider.  Yum!

  • 4 cups Apple cider
  • 1 750-ml bottle Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1/4 cup Agave
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 1 Orange zested and juiced
  • 4 Cloves whole
  • 3 Star Anise
  • 4 Oranges peeled for garnish


  1. Combine the cider, wine, agave, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and orange juice in a large saucepan.  Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 10 minutes (Longer for a deeper spiced flavor).  Pour into mugs and garnish with an orange peel.
