If at first you don’t succeed try and try again.
Last night I watched a beautiful, talented and articulate lady become our new Miss NH America 2019. This was not her first time, nor her second, but her fifth time… she has been a 3 year 1st runner up. I watched her this past year, which by the way was one of the worst years of her life after losing her boyfriend in an accident. In the face of adversity and disparity she turned it into a mission to advocate and be a bright light in this world.
It gives me so much joy to see a deserving woman reach one of her dreams by hard work, perseverance and a whole lot of heart.
Pageantry has gotten a bad name for such a long time. I have heard it all growing up in the pageant world. But the things you don’t hear often are the ways these women impact their community, the scholarship dollars that have put them through college or the amazing hearts they have.
Pageantry isn’t about the crown placed on someone’s head it’s about the brain beneath the crown, the heart and passion of serving others for the greater good, and the integrity of the woman wearing it.
I am proud to be a part of the pageant world that has given me so much.
I am proud that I can continue my mission as your USA Ambassador Mrs. New Hampshire and compete on the National stage in hopes of bringing my message nationwide. Being 1st runner up last year was a stepping stone to greater things.
We never know why things happen in the order they do, or why we have to try more than once to reach a goal, or what it is teaching us in the moment. But let me assure you, ALL of it, is a lesson. Life can only be understood living backwards, but that’s not how it works we live by moving forward. Everyday we move closer to our goal, closer to our dreams, and closer to our purpose. So my fabulous fighters, no matter how many times you feel as if you fail, try and try again. It is a stepping stone to our true power and purpose.
Wrapping you in Fabulous Love and Light,
