What’s under your skin?

Over the last decade, more than 10,000 Americans have had their blood tested by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in an attempt to determine their “chemical body burden.” The results of the CDC study were stunning: even those who lived in remote areas were found to have hundreds of synthetic chemicals in their bloodstream. More disturbingly, this chemical exposure begins even before we take our first breath— an astounding 287 chemical toxins have been detected within the umbilical cord blood of newborns.

From skincare to makeup we are are at all time high for toxins detected in our bodies. We often wonder why the numbers are going up daily with new diagnosis of Cancers and autoimmune diseases. We can’t forget that nearly 60% of what you put on your skin is absorbed and flooded into your body.

knowledge is power and the more we bring awareness and do our research of the products we are using daily I believe we will start to see the numbers of newly diagnosed decrease.

I want to thank organizations that are making it their mission to educate us on the harmful effects these ingredients are doing to out bodies.

Next week I will be bringing you a list of great companies that are looking out for our health welfare. Stay tuned!
